Following the success of PROSA 2024, the fourth European Conference on Pediatric Procedural Comfort, Sedation & Analgesia (PROSA 2026) will take place in Maastricht, The Netherlands.

Under the theme “From Fear to Trust: Making Medicine a Safer Place for Children,” this two-day interdisciplinary meeting brings together pediatricians, emergency physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, nurse specialists, pain specialists, psychologists, child life specialists, scientists, patient representatives, healthcare managers, healthcare educationalists, and other professionals involved in procedural care for children.

The conference will highlight the latest developments in pediatric procedural comfort, sedation, and analgesia. Through keynote lectures, practice-based presentations, and hands-on workshops, participants will explore evidence-based strategies to improve comfort across diverse procedures and pediatric populations – from neonates to children with special needs.

Topics include pharmacology of commonly used procedural sedatives and analgesics, as well as practical approaches to building trust, enhancing comfort, and improving medical experiences for children.
