The international congress on November 20-21 will feature keynote lectures, scientific and multicultural panels, oral and poster presentations, and discussions incorporating family experiences and perspectives.
Key topics include skin-to-skin contact, care for critically ill and extremely preterm newborns, neuroprotection, breastfeeding, family-centered and individualized care, psychosocial aspects, follow-up care, innovation and technology, public policy, and sustainability.
The 2026 meeting marks the second time Brazil has hosted the World Congress on Kangaroo Care, following the 2004 congress in Rio de Janeiro.
